Michał Jakubczyk obtained his Ph.D. from the Warsaw School of Economics, Poland, (2007) and also holds BSc in mathematics (University of Warsaw, Poland, 2003). He is currently employed in the Decision Analysis and Support Unit in the Warsaw School of Economics, but spent part of his career in the Center for operations research and econometrics (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, Marie-Curie scholarship) and Tippie College of Business, University of Iowa (Fulbright Senior Award). Apart from academic career Michał is a co-founder and a partner at HealthQuest, Poland, a company providing consultancy and support services for the pharmaceutical industry in the area of health technology assessment. Michał's research interest encompass: decision theory and support, especially applied to health care sector; health technology assessment; pharmacoeconomics; health economic modelling
