Anatoly Safronikhin obtained his M.Sc. chemistry degree and Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the Lomonosov Moscow State University (Russia). On the stage of M.Sc. degree, he worked on nonadditivity and synergism phenomena in multicomponent catalytic systems. This research addressed the issue of interactions between components of multicomponent catalysts, interactions between catalysts and environment, processes of catalyst evolution. The subject of his PhD thesis is chemical modification of the surface of lanthanum and europium trifluorides. Now Anatoly Safronikhin is a research associate at Laboratory of Surface Chemistry, Division of Oil Chemistry and Organic Catalysis, Department of Chemistry, Lomonosov Moscow State University and continue his research on chemical modification of the surface of ionic compounds.
