Professor (Full) Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, Chemistry Department since 1996 to date. Areas of research: Aquatic Toxicology, Environmental Toxicology, Ecotoxicology, Aquatic Ecology, Limnology, Sexual Reproductive Behavior of Rotifers.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Biology, Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes, Mexico (1982-1987). Master of Science Limnology & Oceanography, University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA (1988-1989). Ph. D. Applied Biology, Georgia Institute of Technology, USA (1992-1995).

Reviewer/Editorial Boards: I am member of the Editorial Board of the journal Aquatic Science and Technology. I am member of the Editorial Board of the journal ISRN Biodiversity. I am Associate Editor of Revista Hidrobiológica published by Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana (Mexico).
