Faiz Uddin Ahmed Shaikh

Bio

Faiz Uddin Ahmed Shaikh is a Associate Professor in the department of Civil Engineering of Curtin University. He received his Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore in 2004, M. Eng. from the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand in 1998 and B.Sc. (Civil) Eng. from Khulna University of Engineering and Technology, Bangladesh in 1994. His research interests include durability studies of reinforced concrete structures; high performances fibre reinforced cementitious composites, fibre reinforced geopolymer composites, numerical modeling, and use of supplementary cementitious materials and nano particles in concrete for improved durability. He is a member of Institute of engineers, Australia and Concrete institute of Australia. He has published about 120 technical articles in international journals and conference proceedings including four book chapters. He is also a regular reviewer of a number of reputed journals in the field of concrete materials.
