Dr. Varij Nayan is currently a scientist in the Animal Physiology and Reproduction Division of ICAR-Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes (ICAR-CIRB), Hisar, Haryana, India. Earlier, he has worked as Assistant Professor for three years in the C.V.Sc. & A.H. (Central Agricultural University, Imphal, GOI), Aizawl, Mizoram. He has completed master’s degree in Animal biochemistry from National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal and Ph.D. from the same institute. He was selected two times for CSIR-JRF and for ICMR-JRF. His research interests include identification of bio-markers of oestrus and early pregnancy, prognosis and therapeutic outcome, recombinant protein production, green chemistry, environmental sustainability, nanoparticles, nanosensor, haematological and biochemical studies and fertility augmentation in buffaloes and other farm species.
