Bioenergy generation is the major aim of research that includes simultanesous remediation of wasteeffluents and emissions. Completed Doctorate in Environmental Biotechnology dealing with the Microbial Fuel Cells for Bioelectricity generation and Dark fermentation for Biohydrogen production. Also, worked on microalgal Biodiesel production, Ecological engineered systems, Biomethane production (Anaerobic digestion) and various Environemntal consultancy projects related to Environmental impact assessment, Carrying capacity studies, Design and evaluation of Effluent and Sewage treatment plants (ETP and STPs). At present, actively working on microbial electrosyntheisis of value added chemicals and energy equivalnets from CO2 sequestration through bio-electrochemical process.
