Tosso Leeb is a veterinary geneticist at the University of Bern. He studies mostly monogenic traits in dogs, cats, horses, pigs, cattle, sheep, and goats. The knowledge of causative variants for hereditary traits can inform us about the function of previously uncharactrerized genes. His research thus exploits the value of domestic animals as models for biomedical research.
