My research interests lie in developing and applying bioinformatics and computational tools to make disease related discoveries, and facilitate next generation sequencing-based translational applications. It is my strong belief that future clinical research will be significantly advanced by not only new high-throughput molecular measurements, but also capable computational tools that enables extraction and discovery novel information. My long-term goal is to establish bioinformatics expertise, towards collaborative clinical research projects and translational applications. My current ongoing research efforts include discovery of tumor molecular subtypes, aneuploidy and copy number estimation from next generation sequencing data, and RNA-seq based fusion and mutation callings.
