Andreas Dräger


Andreas Dräger studied bioinformatics at the Martin Luther University in Halle and worked as an intern at the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics, Berlin, and at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He did his Ph.D. at the Center for Bioinformatics in Tübingen and worked as a visiting research student at Keio University in Yokohama. The Faculty of Science (University of Tübingen) honored his Ph.D. thesis with the dissertation award of 2011 and granted him funding for an independent research project. After having then worked as a Marie-Curie research scholar in the Systems Biology Research Group at UC San Diego for two years, he founded his research group at the Center for Bioinformatics Tübingen (ZBIT). In 2018 he was appointed as junior professor for Computational Systems Biology of Infection and Antimicrobial-Resistant Pathogens.
