Khyati Shah

Bio

I am trained Translational Pharmacologist, highly skilled in pre-clinical oncology target discovery, integrated genomics, cell signaling, biomarker identification, designing personalized therapeutics. I am currently Research fellow at University of California, San Francisco. I am currently dissecting the cell fate decisions and therapeutic response to targeted and immunotherapy at single cell level using high-content microscopy and live-cell microscopy. I obtained my Ph.D. from University of the Pacific, Stockton California, where I identified novel varient ER-Alpha36 plays an important role in tamoxifen resistance and RRM2 promotes this resistance. I was also Visiting Scientist at Genentech, where I identified DNA methylation profiles of metabolic genes creates unique dependencies in cancer cells by altering cell metabolism.

Deep Expertise: Protein-protein interaction, Therapeutic Resistance, RNA-seq, single cell genomic and proteomic techniques and cancer metastasis.
