Dr. Maxim Sumets received his PhD degree in the field of physics of semiconductors and dielectrics in 1999 from the Voronezh State University, Russia. Since then he has worked as an Assistant Professor and Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at the Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Voronezh Institute of the StateFire Fighting Service of EMERCOM of Russia, and a Senior Research Fellow at the Voronezh State University. Since 2015 he has also been a Postdoctoral Research Associate and a Lecturer in the Department of Physics at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, USA. Maxim’s research interests are focused in the field of Materials Science. Specifically, he is involved in the research, associated with synthesis and study of semiconductor heterostructures and nanostructures, ferroelectrics and dielectrics. He has published research papers in leading Journals in Materials Science such as Ceramics International, Thin Solid Films. Being an expert in electrical properties of semiconductor- and dielectric-based heterostructures he serves as a Reviewer in reputable Journals in his field of expertise
