Marcio Rocha Crisostomo

Bio

Dr. Márcio Crisóstomo is a Board Certified Brazilian Plastic Surgeon, post-graduated at the Prof. Ivo Pitanguy Institute - Rio de Janeiro with a Master Degree in surgery with research in oxidative stress during hair transplant. He is a founder member of the ISHRS FUE Research Committee (Actual FUE Advancement Committee) and also member of the Editorial and Membership committees of the ISHRS. Dr. Crisóstomo is Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and was member of the Scientific Committee of the ISHRS World Congress in 2015 (Chicago) and 2016 (Las Vegas).

His practice is based in Fortaleza, Brazil, where he runs a Medical Institute exclusively dedicated to medical and surgical baldness treatment. Dr. Crisóstomo is especially interested in procedures combining FUE and FUT to improve the number of follicular units in one procedure. He is one of the world pioneers in this technique and has many congress presentations, scientific presentations and book chapters about this subject.
