Francisco José Veiga

Bio

I am a Professor of Economics and Dean of the School of Economics and Management of the University of Minho (Portugal). Holding an undergraduate degree in Economic and Political International Relations from UMinho, and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of South Carolina, I teach and research in the areas of Macroeconomics, International Monetary Economics, Political Economy, and Economic Growth. I am a member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Political Economy, have several articles published in journals such as the Journal of Development Economics and the European Economic Review, and coordinated several research projects. I was an elected member of the General Council of the University of Minho, director of the Economic Policies Research Unit (NIPE), of the Department of Economics, and the Ph.D., Master and undergraduate programs in Economics.
