Flavio Stochino

I defended my Ph.D. thesis (“Flexural models of reinforced concrete beams under blast load”) in March 2013 at the University of Cagliari. Then I obtained the research associate position at DADU (University of Sassari) within the research project “Structural Models for flexible structures” under the supervision of Prof. Emilio Turco. Then, I worked at at Technische Universität Dresden - Institut für Statik und Dynamik der Tragwerke under the supervision of Prof. Michael Kaliske. Now I work as Post Doctoral Fellow at University of Cagliari. My background is in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering and Computational Mechanics. My scientific research deals with extreme load on R.C. Structures. In particular I am interested in blast/impulsive loading and fire design of Structures. Furthermore I deepened my knowledge in reliability and seismic analysis of existing structures, Isogeometrical Analysis, Hybrid-Mixed Finite Elements, Laminate Mechanics, Structural Optimization.
